Botox Crow’s Feet Treatment in Singapore
Wish to reduce the crow’s feet at the corner of your eyes? Botox treatment is the right solution. Botox temporarily relaxes the target muscle by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscle. It prevents the contraction of the muscle and helps reduce crow’s feet.
During your initial consultation, we will discuss your needs and areas of concern. We will suggest a customized Botox treatment plan, that includes the areas to be treated and the amount of Botox required.
What is Crow's Feet Botox?
Wrinkles around the eye form over time due to frequent contraction of the orbicularis muscle which help you “smile with your eyes”.
The term “Crow’s feet” comes about because the lines radiate outwards in a fashion that resembles a crow’s feet.
Crow’s Feet Botox improves these lines by relaxing the muscle around the eye.
What Causes Crow's Feet?
We develop crow’s feet/eye wrinkles/smile lines naturally with aging. When we smile, we use the outside part of our orbicularis oculi muscle causing crow’s feet to occur. Due to the loss of elastic tissue and natural collagen in our skin, the crow’s feet etch in permanently. These fine lines are there even when we are not smiling.
To overcome this issue, we suggest crow’s feet Botox treatment at our Singapore-based clinic. Dr. Edwin will evaluate your facial muscles and suggest a suitable treatment plan according to your needs.
How Long Does the Botox Treatment Last?
Your Treatment Plan
Depending on the Botox treatment plan you choose, the Botox results can vary.
The more the Botox unit is injected into the affected area, the longer the results will last.
Please Note: We can only inject a certain amount of units in one sitting.
Your Muscle Strength
If your facial muscles are strong especially in the area around your eyes, these may be more resistant to crow’s feet Botox treatment.
The strong facial muscles delay the relaxing of the facial muscles. This, in turn, results in delayed achievement of desired results.
With our follow-up crow’s feet Botox treatments at our clinic in Singapore, it is possible to maintain longer results.
Some patients can enjoy the Botox treatment results for up to 6 to 8 months with regular care and consistent follow-up schedules.
Botox is injected into the target muscle using extremely tiny needles.
The sensation feels like small ant bites.
Before injection, Dr Edwin will discuss with you the dosage and points of injection for the best results.
Dr Edwin prefers a natural look with Botox.
Is it painful?
Cold ice will be applied to the area just before injection to minimise discomfort and reduce the risk of bruising.
Whilst the thought of injections may be scary for Botox first timers, good hands and proper injection technique will significantly reduce pain and discomfort.
What can I expect after treatment?
After treatment, small Botox “bumps” may be observed at the injection sites.
These “bumps” will disappear in 2 to 4 hours and patients are advised not to apply pressure on these bumps.
Some patients may experience small bruises especially when injecting around delicate areas such as the eye.
It is recommended to apply our Intensive Recovery Cream post procedure and most bruises will subside after 5 to 7 days.
When can results be seen?
Botox results will be seen after 3 to 7 days with the improvement of wrinkles & fine lines.
Results last between 4 to 6 months.
