Is Botulinum Toxin legal in Singapore?

Yes, it is completely legal if administered by a licensed practitioner in a practice facility that complies with the required medical prerequisites. Dr Edwin is fully licensed and accredited by MOH for Botox procedures in Singapore.

For how long does Botulinum Toxin for the face last?

The effect of Botulinum Toxin treatments of the face can last for around four to six months. Over time, muscle action gradually returns as botox wears off. With regular treatments and proper follow-ups, patients can maintain longer lasting results.

How long does Botulinum Toxin treatment take to work?

Botulinum Toxin does not show its full effect right after the treatment. After 2 to 3 days, you may start to notice some of its effects appearing. The treatment will take around 10-14 days to show its full effect.

Can I get a face slimming treatment while I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

It is not recommended to receive not just this treatment but in fact any Botulinum Toxin treatment for that matter while you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as the risks are uncertain.

At our Botulinum Toxin clinic in Singapore, we will not recommend botulinum toxin treatments if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, due to the lack of information on its effect on the fetus. I’m 16 years old. Can I get face Botulinum Toxin?

Generally the minimum age of Botulinum Toxin treatments is 18 years of age at our Botulinum Toxin clinic in Singapore. However, in some cases of severe teeth grinding or eyelid spasm, Dr Edwin may recommend Botulinum Toxin for those under 18 years of age. For teenagers, we do offer other skin-related treatments suitable for your age group to deal with acne, pigmentation, and scars. We welcome you to visit our clinic with a guardian to discuss your skin-related concerns.
